Diving El Bufadero

Descending beside the Palm Mar cliffs, we begin over shallow volcanic rock before following the slope toward the deeper sandy bottom. The changing depth allows us to choose a relaxed upper route or continue farther down the wall, depending on certification and conditions.

The deeper section is known for large schools of roncadores gathering close to the rocks and sand. Barracudas may cruise nearby, while moray eels, trumpetfish and other reef species can be found between the volcanic formations. Rays and turtles are also possible, but every encounter depends on the day.

With depths from around 8 to 24 meters, El Bufadero offers different profiles for newer and more experienced divers. Those ready to gain confidence beyond the shallower route can develop their awareness, buoyancy and planning during our PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.
