Diving La Falla I and II

We descend onto a rocky platform at around 18 meters, where the reef edge drops toward 30 meters and deeper. Large volcanic boulders rise from the sandy bottom, while cracks, ledges and sheltered spaces create plenty of places to search for marine life.

Schools of roncadores may gather around the wall, joined by white seabream, trumpetfish and bigeyes. Stingrays can sometimes be found resting on the sand, while smaller reef species move between the rocks and shaded openings.

When the current and group experience are suitable, La Falla I and II can be connected as a controlled drift dive. Aquarius agrees the route, communication and boat pickup plan before entering the water, allowing the group to move with the Atlantic rather than fighting against it.

The depth range also makes La Falla well suited to divers using enriched air on repetitive boat dives. The knowledge needed to analyze the cylinder and plan the correct depth and oxygen limits is developed during our PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) specialty.
