Diving El Bajonito

We descend onto the top of the volcanic formation at around 14 meters. The side facing the coast remains relatively shallow, while the seaward edge drops steeply toward 40 meters and beyond, creating several possible routes around the same impressive structure.

Moray eels, Canarian lobsters, anemones and colorful nudibranchs may be found inside the wall’s cracks and ledges. Schools of barracuda and roncadores can move above the reef, while rays may cross the sand and tuna, bonito, amberjacks or other larger fish occasionally pass through the open blue.

Aquarius matches the route and maximum depth to the certification and experience of the group. Open Water divers can enjoy the upper plateau and shallower side, while the deeper wall also gives us a suitable environment for selected PADI Tec 40 course dives and progression toward Tec 45.
