FAQ’s Scuba diver

When should I start the PADI Scuba Diver eLearning?

Start as soon as your booking is confirmed. The eLearning lets you complete the theory at home, in your own time and in your preferred language, so your time in Tenerife can focus on the practical diving.

Once your PADI eLearning has been issued, that part of the course is normally non-refundable. That is why it is important to choose your course and dates carefully before starting.

What happens during the 2-day PADI Scuba Diver course?

You begin with a theory review, equipment briefing and confined-water training, where you practice the essential scuba skills in a controlled way. After that, you complete two open-water training dives in Tenerife with your instructor.

The goal is not to rush you through the program. The goal is to make you safe, comfortable and ready to enjoy supervised dives as a certified PADI Scuba Diver.

What does the PADI Scuba Diver certification allow me to do?

As a PADI Scuba Diver, you can dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. You can take part in supervised dive activities, rent or buy scuba equipment where accepted, and continue your training later.

It is a real certification, but it is not the same as Open Water Diver. You are certified for supervised diving, not independent buddy diving.

What is included in the PADI Scuba Diver course?

Your course includes PADI eLearning, PADI certification processing, SCUBAPRO dive equipment, dive insurance, confined-water training and two open-water training dives.

You only need to bring swimwear, a towel and a good mood. We take care of the diving equipment, the training setup and the underwater part.

Can I upgrade from PADI Scuba Diver to Open Water Diver later?

Yes. PADI Scuba Diver is part of the full PADI Open Water Diver course, so you can continue later by completing the remaining theory, confined-water skills, open-water dives and required water skills.

This makes it a smart choice if you want to start now, get certified in Tenerife and keep the door open for the full certification later.
