What is the PADI EFR Course?

The PADI Emergency First Response course teaches CPR, first aid and basic emergency-care skills. It is designed for divers and non-divers, and helps you feel more prepared to respond in everyday emergency situations.

Who can join the PADI EFR Course?

You do not need to be a diver, and no previous medical training is required. The course is suitable for anyone who wants to learn practical first aid and CPR skills in a clear, supportive environment.

How does the PADI EFR Course work with Aquarius?

You complete the EFR eLearning first, then join us at Aquarius for the practical training session.

During the course, you practise first aid, CPR and realistic emergency-care scenarios, with AED practice included as an optional EFR skill that we add to the training. After successful completion, you receive your EFR certification.

How long is the PADI EFR certification valid?

For PADI Rescue Diver, Divemaster and Instructor training, your First Aid and CPR training must be current within the previous 24 months. Even outside diving, refreshing your skills regularly is a smart idea because emergency-care skills fade when they are not practised.

What can I do after completing the PADI EFR Course?

After EFR, strong next steps are PADI Rescue Diver, PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider and the Aquarius Divemaster Internship.

EFR gives you the First Aid and CPR foundation needed for serious rescue training and professional-level diving development.
