To start the PADI Night Diver course, please make sure you meet the following:

Minimum age required: 12 years.

PADI Junior Open Water Diver, PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification.

Valid dive insurance required.

What is the PADI Night Diver course?

The PADI Night Diver course teaches certified divers how to plan and enjoy night dives safely. You learn how to prepare your equipment, use a dive light, communicate with your buddy, navigate in the dark and handle special night-diving situations.

With Aquarius, the course is practical, calm and fun. The goal is not only to complete the certification, but to make night diving feel exciting, controlled and comfortable.

Who can join the PADI Night Diver course?

You must be at least 12 years old and certified as PADI Junior Open Water Diver, PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent.

You do not need previous night-diving experience. This course is designed for certified divers who want to discover a new side of diving with clear guidance, small-group support and step-by-step training.

How does the PADI Night Diver course work?

The course normally takes 3 evenings and includes PADI eLearning plus 3 night training dives. Before and during the dives, you practise planning, preparation, torch use, communication, navigation and night-diving awareness.

Each evening builds your confidence. You start with clear briefing and preparation, then apply the skills underwater while discovering how different Tenerife’s reefs can feel after sunset.

What equipment do I need for the PADI Night Diver course?

Scubapro dive equipment and dive torch use are included unless stated otherwise in the package details.

You need your normal diving essentials, certification and valid dive insurance. We provide the night-dive briefing, torch-use guidance and equipment support needed for the training.

What can I do after becoming a PADI Night Diver?

After certification, you can join night dives within your certification level, experience and local conditions. You will understand how to plan night dives, use your torch correctly, stay in contact with your buddy and enjoy the underwater world after dark.

Good next steps are PADI Wreck Diver, PADI Deep Diver or Advanced Open Water. Being comfortable with a torch is useful for wreck diving and deeper dives, where light, awareness and clear buddy communication become even more important.
