Diving with enriched air (nitrox) gives you longer no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives.
Enriched Air Nitrox is the perfect breathing gas for those divers who want to maximize their bottom time!
As a diver you will want to spend as much time as you can, whilst enjoying your dive safely. When diving using compressed air the duration for no decompression stop diving will be shorter than if using Enriched Air Nitrox – EANx. The science and physiology behind this is covered in depth during the course but the basic reason is due the higher amount of Nitrogen in compressed air.
It is now commonplace worldwide for divers to use EANx for safety or longer dives without enforced decompression stops.
Most modern scuba equipment and dive computers can be used with Enriched Air Nitrox, but our Instructor will tell you if your dive equipment meets manufacturer guidelines and local requirements.
You must be, minimum age of 12 years.
Certified as a PADI (Jr.) Open Water Diver or equivalent.
The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox diver course includes the theory and practical techniques for diving with oxygen percentages of between 22 and 40%.
The course includes managing oxygen exposure and scuba diving equipment considerations while diving with Enriched air.
You will learn the all-important skill of analyzing the gas in your cylinder, understanding the labelling of cylinders and testing requirements plus dive computer settings when diving with EANx.
There will be an exam at the end of the theory to ensure adequate standard of knowledge.
The complete course takes 1 day.
Free transfer from hotel to dive center.
Free transport from dive center to dive site.
